Certificates of Professionalism with eHabilis
The Certificates of Professionalism have been regulated by Order ESS/1897/2013 of 10 October, which is a development of Royal Decree 34/2008, of 18 January, regulating certificates of professionalism and royal decrees establishing certificates of professionalism issued in its application.
But what are Certificates of Professionalism?
They are the instrument for the official accreditation of professional qualifications in the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications in the field of labour administration. These certificates attest to the range of professional skills that enable the development of an identifiable work activity in the production system without this being a regulation of professional practice. They are official and valid within the Spanish territory, and are issued by the State Public Employment Service and the competent bodies of the Autonomous Communities. They are obtained through two ways:
- Passing all the modules that integrate the certificate of professionalism.
- Following the established procedures for the evaluation and accreditation of the professional competences acquired through work experience or non-formal training pathways.

In addition, Royal Decree 189/2013 seeks to introduce changes to the rules governing professional certificates in respect of the new contract for training and apprenticeship, with dual vocational training, as well as in relation to its offer and implementation and those aspects that give quality assurance to the system.
It also sets the standard of requirements for the accreditation of centres offering tele-training, as well as their trainers or tutors, and extends participation in training provision to private initiative centres and enterprises, establishing measures to promote supply management and improve the quality control of the development of training actions.
