Experts: the new trainers
When managers and high positions analyse the situation of the company, analysing costs, they often wonder if the training that their employees receive...
- is really beneficial for the company?
- is useful in the tasks that belong to them in their position?
- the costs of this training could be reduced?
In eHabilis we always say YES (to this and other questions).
From our point of view, all companies with certain aspirations must have among their objectives to offer training: relevant, applicable to the reality of the company, and efficient. The challenge we have faced in eHabilis has been to get the training tool that our clients need, the one that promotes innovation in the company and the excellence of the employees, and that can be present throughout their cycle in the organization. This has been the result: http://www.ehabilis.es/es/recursos/demo_on-line.
Permanent evolution...
In today’s society, as dynamic and changing as it is, training cannot remain static and alien to what surrounds it, it must be constantly evolving. We propose a training in which the workers themselves, not just those who have more experience, act as internal trainers; this being an excellent way to transfer the knowledge generated in the daily dynamics, that will use as material the company’s own successes and failures. This material will evolve and improve day by day. Achieving this is impossible without a serious commitment of the entity to training.
The transmitter of this knowledge, in addition to experience, must have credibility among his fellow students, knowledge and know how to offer what his fellow student needs.
The tool that manages corporate training must be focused on the individual and be able to measure its own effectiveness. To achieve this, the training department must devote a significant amount of time to the design of this training and to precisely define what it wants to bring to it.
These departments in large companies are increasingly smaller in number, but more formed. The tendency is that they are risking more and more, proposing new methodologies that depart from more traditional training.
Many multinationals, and large companies or entities, have opted to have their own virtual platforms and tools: eHabilis is the solution chosen by many of them. Among the objectives to be achieved should be to "engage" the commercial department and middle managers in these actions, due to the importance of being able to link them to the maximum with the real day-to-day activity.
The trainer
The trainer’s profile is being transformed from human resources personnel to people from the company itself, experienced in the business and in the most common operations in the business. Not only is it a necessary figure in the chain, but it must be considered as part of the company’s business generation process. It has to be a person who has credibility, who knows what they are talking about and who offers each person the information they need.
Those experienced employees with a greater vocation to help others are ideal for intern teaching.
But let us not forget that no matter how expert they are, the trainer must not be alone, they must be surrounded by people from other departments who complement his work: it is impossible for a person to know everything.
For a custom training
The training department must translate the needs identified in the company into training actions. It is essential that senior management be involved and aware of the importance of training their employees. If you are convinced that the real protagonists of the business are the people, you will have in your hands one of the keys to the future success of your company.
In order to plan for effective training, it is important to know what the medium-term strategic plans and projects are. This is why those responsible for training must be present at the strategic council of the organisation. If the company is preparing to disembark in China within 4 years, we have to prepare our team for the challenge ahead. Training must be integrated into the strategic plan of the company, leaving behind old customs that placed us on a secondary level.
The way to ensure an effective transfer of knowledge is to monitor the achievement of the objectives set and the way in which strategies are implemented to achieve them, this task we must accomplish using the appropriate technological means, supervising it together with the heads of the different departments.

Saving to increase efficiency
At the moment one of the major drawbacks we are facing are budget cuts, which especially affect those departments not directly linked to the "hard" core of the business. Businesses need to adapt to this crisis situation, and even with reduced budgets, to increase the efficiency of available resources.
In training, the ideal is to align with the business, helping to reduce costs through training.
For this, online training is ideal, with several aspects that are very beneficial and advantageous compared to other more traditional forms of training:
- cost savings
- monitoring in which, in how and why it is being spent
- to know the real relevance of the training
- allows us to make it accessible to employees from other countries
The eHabilis team, talks to the customer, listens to him, analyzes the situation and acts on their experience in elearning and e-developmentbusiness.
Cost savings in technical and functional aspects, which are often so tedious for technology 'non-experts', will enable the entity contracting eHabilis to invest everything it has saved in improving the quality of training, aspect that will impact on the efficiency and profitability of each worker...of the business, after all.
